Walkthrough

Objectives

"What fiendish prototype is this?!"
  • Kill scavengers with laser weapon: 0/15
  • Ignite scavengers: 0/5 (optional)

Strategy

This mission is found in an elevated building in western Triton Flats, close to the exit to Crisis Scar. A open weapons case containing laser weapon parts is in the corner. When accepted, the compass will show three way-points to areas rich in both scavs and oxygen. The oxygen will be helpful in completing the optional mission objective of igniting the scavs with Planetary Zappinator, the mandatory incendiary laser mission weapon.

One scav area is the Troll Booth, the structure closest to the southern end of Vertigo Bridge in central Triton Flats. Activating the oxygen generator, or luring scavs into the oxygen rich interior is required to ignite them. Another area is Banjo Point, in the southeast of Triton Flats, where Deirdre of the Wherefore Art Thou? mission is located. One last location is So Much Serenity, which lies between the bridge and Lunar Junction to the northwest. Though not marked as an area waypoint, players may however find it most easy to enter the Darksiders encampment in the center of the map, which also is the fast travel spawn location. Darksiders count towards killed scavs and the area is largely in an atmosphere and thereby requires no triggering of air dome generators negating the limited area these generators cover and also do not require lure tactics. This helps in fulfilling the optional objective far more easy and faster than in the locations marked on the map.

A total of fifteen scavs must be killed with the mission weapon, and five must burst into flames to fulfill the optional objective. Once the scavs are killed, the mission must be turned in to Janey Springs in Concordia.

Completion
