Woodblocker is a legendary sniper rifle in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Hyperion. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from IndoTyrant located in Floodmoor Basin on Eden-6.
Special Weapon Effects
You don't get into woodblocks unless you are ready to f***. – Increased critical hit damage, reduced vertical recoil. Always elemental. Shoots multiple shots in a burst.
Usage & Description
The Woodblocker functions like a mix between Hyperion and Dahl sniper rifles. It is poor at long range as the burst fire causes the sniper rifle to jerk upwards heavily, but works better at low to medium range, as the weapon's burst fire and reduced recoil can be used to land multiple accurate shots in quick succession. If the burst hits a critical spot, it can do respectable damage. Considering it always spawns with an element, the Woodblocker will be effective against certain types of enemies, but weaker against others.
It can be used more effectively on targets with large critical hit spots such as The Graveward, to take advantage of its modest critical damage boost.
Notes
- Before February 27, 2020, the Woodblocker had lackluster stats and was generally considered to be one of the weakest legendaries in the game.
