The Volcano should be used from long range in typical Sniper Rifle fashion. The flavor text is also a reference to the Hawaiian volcano goddess, Pele, with inhabitants throwing animals into a volcano as a sacrifice to her.
On some bladed variants, the blade takes on a more purple tone compared to other blades on other sniper rifles, referring to obsidian, a sharp glass formed in volcanoes. All variants also have this purple tone in the details of the weapon.
The Volcano's skin has a charred appearance and has the same colors as Blue quality variants but with increased saturation and reversed pattern.
