Vandergraffen is a unique aftermarket laser in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel manufactured by Tediore.
It is a guaranteed drop from Deadlift.
Special Weapon Effects[]
I'm a fan of the flow. – Always shock. Increased damage against airborne targets. Increased elemental effect chance. When moving, a flashing animated effect covers the weapon's surface.
Usage & Description[]
The Vandergraffen is typically the first beam laser characters will encounter in a new playthrough. Apart from its higher elemental chance, it has no significant features and can be used in the same way as a standard Tediore shock laser until a suitable replacement is found.
Athena, using the Ceraunic Storm skill tree, can use the Vandergraffen as a handy starting weapon for gaining Maelstrom stacks.
Notes[]
- The Vandergraffen has the same visual effect as the Commerce from Borderlands 2.
- The only valid prefix is "Alternating". However, it does not prevent it from spawning with any grip, stock, or sight.
Trivia[]
- The weapon name is a reference to Robert Van de Graaff and his generator.
- The Vandergraffen's prefix and flavor text are a reference to alternating current (AC), a type of flow of electric current.
