Greetings to a CODER

your page has been moved to Forum:Modding_Borderlands_2. modding of borderlands is not supported by 2k or gearbox. the page, at the time of this writing, does not offer any means or method of modding borderlands 2. it is better suited to a discussion in its present form. should this page be further developed into a guide please contact me for consideration for article candidacy. Njoy! 19:53, May 31, 2013 (UTC)
Yep. If i led you astray i apologize. I meant a it might require a new page for the finished information. I was saying that because of the very limited info on pages now.
Thanks for keeping me updated. Good to see you again. I was informed that I was WAY off in my earlier assumptions, sorry about that. Anyway, nice work... Is that a program that you shared? I wish I knew more about code so that I could understand it more. It looks pretty thorough. 19:27, August 23, 2013 (UTC)
Hi there! I'm a programmer with experience in games and game engines, looking for some help with finding and parsing certain data in Borderlands 2. First of all, I apologize for asking such a helpless question, but I'm going nuts trying to figure out this simple thing, and just being told "that's not possible" would be helpful.
Basically, I want to (a) locate and (b) read the terrain data for Borderlands 2 maps. Ideally, I would be able to find and read ALL "world" data -- terrain, object locations, triggers/volumes, that sort of thing. But I'm totally willing to start with terrain collision.
So I've spent like a week using UDK explorer/extractor tools, model viewers, etc. and I just cannot find the terrain data. What I want is to find the terrain data INCLUDING whatever flag says "this terrain has collision or not," and understand the format its in. From there I have the skills to write a viewer/editor. I just need help getting started!
Any insight you can provide is really appreciated.
