Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, Allegiance relics would make them OP, but these classes are extremely challenging, because you only get the bonuses from their Loyalty tree with guns of their maker, forcing players to play with a very limited style. Their other trees contain good skills, at least they will when I design them, but to get the most out of each class, you have to use only their particular gun makers. Besides, if Gearbox does include something like these classes, they would probably take care of balancing issues.

Trivia revert

Do you mean this reference page? I can't seem to find any other and there's not even a word on MLP there. Plus, on several other pages (I just followed links at random on the page) it's also mentioned aside from the pop culture reference list. Keeping notes of it on the page itself is done on most other gaming wikis so people will keep adding these notes anyway. --El Nazgir sigEl_Nazgir 22:48, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. However, the reason I had undone your undo was to try to change the way the article sounds. As it was before my initial edit, the article sounded like the main way to get Seraph items was to kill the Guardians until they dropped them, rather than to collect the crystals and use them to buy the weapons from the Seraph Vendors. Joeshmo101 (talk) 01:48, January 18, 2013 (UTC)

Just a quick head up, bandits in borderlands 2 really do shout what I posted on the attack. I must have heard it at least once every time I visited a place with psycho's in it.

delete template

The template is simply "{{delete}}" (see delete). You can also use "{{speedydelete}}" for obvious mess ups. You can also (should) add a parameter quickly explaining why the page warrants a delete, for example "{{speedydelete|I accidentally the wrong title}}</code>".

In any case, there is no problem messing up. happypal (talk • contribs) 10:45, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

The template is {{delete}}. You can also use {{speedydelete}} for pages you are the author of, obvious vandalism and what not. Finally, you can (should) add a quick rationale in the first parameter, eg: {{speedydelete|I accidentally the wrong title}}. See Template:delete for more info.

In any case, no problem. happypal (talk • contribs) 11:00, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

Could you perhaps avoid uploading pictures irrelevant to the Boarderlands series?

  • I was going to ask if there was a Barkley wiki that you could "let it out" on LOL. Perhaps you could create one :) Trig Anomaly (talk) 09:41, February 5, 2013 (UTC) I think I messed up your talk page also.

I appreciate it.

I actually forgot about the references page, so thank you for the reminder, it's really appreciated! :) Abyss Raider (talk) 21:36, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

P.S. There were some strange formatting issues going on with your page, I think I got them all fixed up, though...

bonus package

I plan on trying the bonus package with double your fun, is there a reason I shouldn't? Trig Anomaly (talk) 09:22, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

I have learned to look at more than one page to get a bigger picture. I thought the bonus package was more of a strategy/combination thing since its on more than one page. If its not a legitimate combo, it needs to come off all the pages. I guess that is why I am wondering if its legit. Trig Anomaly (talk) 18:03, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

I guess our opinions differ in that respect. Note that I cannot speak for the bonus package/double your fun combo but combinations of weapons/class mods/skills that are established to be effective, I consider strategy. Personal preference would be why you wouldn't use an established combination. If there is a better combination for double your fun, or if it is largely just a matter of preference, I would like to know.

There definately should be the most effective combinations mentioned, if there are any. grenades are definately better in BL2; in BL1 everyone just (never) used transfusion grenades unless they needed some corrosive damage or liked using less effective weapons because the game was easy and it was fun or to get a certain effect. Like I said, if its just a matter of personal preference and there are no "best" grenades, then you would be right in the opinion thing. Trig Anomaly (talk) 07:59, February 8, 2013 (UTC)

The primary reason for the edit to the 'Grave Matter' page was that if you want to know where the slabs are, the reference to Poetic Licence does not tell you, since that page does not explain the site of the various elements (in this case, the guy who hangs himself on the tombstone).

Therefore, if you are coming back to the level to do the challenges a long time after having done it the first time, the page as is is less than helpful.

The page is also very badly written but I don't pretend to be an expert on the wiki style guide. If you don't like my edits I really won't lose any sleep over it but leaving a badly written, uninformative page to stand just doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

I would also like to know why you reverted my edits. I added the numbers because the page about Vitality relic has the maximum possible percentage but pages about some other relics didn't. I figured the number would be useful for players to determine if their version of the relic is the best possible version. --CharredBrain (talk) 18:08, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

About Law...

As I stated in my talk page, I wasn't aware of the discussion. I thought I was helping. I'll leave my hands off that page.

While I'm here, though, maybe you could clear up some confusion. It says "a play on the musical phrasing 'la-di-da.' " Musical phrasing? Maybe I just don't get it, but after 13 years of musical training I've never run into "la-di-da". I have run into it in this context With the way it's written, it seems to be referencing the end of the solfege "do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do". I just want to point out that it's confusing. Whether it gets altered or not is up to you and the admins.

I have a project if your interested. I am contacting all users who chimed in on splitting the class mod page.

We need to re-link all Class Mod links.

The borderlands 2 pages should link to Class Mod (Borderlands 2) and the borderlands pages should link to Class Mod (Borderlands).

The tool Special:WhatLinksHere/Class_Mod is what we can use to find them all. Note that the links should look like this: [[Class Mod (Borderlands 2)|class mod]] or [[Class Mod (Borderlands)|class mod]] in the source.just saying

I will do what I can until the weekend, and be able to pound out a bunch then.

Ignore anything other than article pages for now. If we all work on it, the list will diminish rather quickly.

It is also a good way to get edit counts up, if you are interested in those.

This mission, if you choose to accept it, will self destruct in 5 seconds.Final signature 08:15, May 7, 2013 (UTC)

The call has been made again, this time concerning the new upcoming game and the new class mod page for it. If we can get the links on the other games down, it should be easy to keep the maintenance up on the new one. Final signature 08:48, May 5, 2014 (UTC)

Trivia policy

Currently there is no policy on trivia sections that state that everything in the pop culture reference page (which is completely bloated) cannot be on a main article. Please explain your interpretation of the Borderlands_Wiki:Trivia_policy that would overrule the Borderlands_Wiki:Simplified_ruleset policy #8.
Perhaps it is time to start a forum/blog asking for policies to be changed/tweaked. Final signature 14:07, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

No harm, no foul... Trivia is the most confusing policy/practice on this wiki. I had to get re-acquainted with it myself. I do know that peeps will want to see it on the main page and keep adding it. Isn't the purpose of a wiki to gather information? So why do you edit my post adding the info that the Norfleet can drop from Hyperius? More than that, yes it drops more often from Vermi, but Hyperius is easier to farm. The "Increased drop rates frm Vermi, not Hyperius" is not a valid reason to remove information IMO

DaisZen (talk) 22:47, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

And so, the fact that the Norfleet has only 2 drop sources (Vermivorous and Hyperius) isn't an information? I didn't just add the "Hyperius might be easier", but also the fact that you can get Hyperius drop it. And that isn't an opinion, it's a fact.

Anyway, now I understand why some pages aren't up to date if some informations are considered as "opinions".

Definition of "vandalism"

Saw your reverts in S:RC, and I'd like to clear up that saying someone is vandalizing when they're merely changing spelling (based on locale) is kinda wrong because they do it in good faith. Vandalism is editing with the intent to do bad for the wiki, bad edits are a different thing. MLGisNot4Me talk 17:58, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

Surely I understand rules are different at other wikis, but it's kinda like a general rule that edits done in good faith aren't vandalism. If some people are blocked for it, I would assume they do it constantly (where he ignores warnings and only blocking will stop them), something else was involved with the situation, or the blocking admin was really hot-headed. Ah well, glad you got what I said. MLGisNot4Me talk 19:01, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

'Vandalism' on the Pandora page

Would like to point out that, first, it wasn't vandalism, and, second, I was making a point. If you're really worried something isn't going to be accepted, then change it so that it will be; don't leave a comment explaining why it's okay in the article.  Snowskeeper---Till Hell Freezes Over. (talk) 18:53, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

I wasn't starting an edit war. You'll notice that I didn't re-edit it after you changed it back (despite the fact that apparently you don't think that's something people should do according to this post?). I was explaining my rationale to you. Snowskeeper---Till Hell Freezes Over. (talk) 18:58, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

Vandalism is when you cannot "assume good faith". Spell checking in any version of English is not vandalism. The ban you saw was because the UNDO took away addition of the page and also, in the process, changed the spelling as well. It was misinterpreted by both parties at the time. Check the history of the page, if you cant find it I will link it after work. Final signature 19:47, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

It is extremely possible that I misinterpreted it. Assuming anything is at worst complete crap and at best faulty science. I will clarify the events. The orgininal [edit] changed the spelling and put a "see also" section. Assuming good faith, the edit was not vandalism but a spell check from mozilla browser. The NEXT edit shows an admin (who knows what he is doing) UNDO the edit and keep the "see also" section with a warning on breaching policy. The NEXT edit was Mad with a UNDO (edit war) with a edit summary about the "format" of the page. Assuming good faith, Mad just did not see that the "see also" section was kept and his undo was about the "see also" section, not the spelling. Which ironically undid the section and put back the spelling. War, on the other hand (assuming good faith) thought that it was about the spelling and given whatever history (i did not concern myself with any history, just this incident) gave a ban. Note that war was lenient about the incident, even though he seen some sort of history.

My note on War's page was only to point out (probably poorly) any misinterpretation and put forth a record, in case a similar thing happened with the same user.

Did I get it wrong? probably... the point is that we must "assume good faith" on all wiki edits. Its not perfect but unless you think that someone is intentionally doing harm to the wiki, you must assume good faith.

We definately do not ban on this wiki for people who want to spell check and add proper sections. We, in fact, encourage it. However, that means that some maintainence is required to keep original authors acceptible spellings. Its just a side affect of the policy. Final signature 07:07, June 10, 2013 (UTC)

Previous version reverts

You can UNDO previous versions and revert the page back to a certain point as well as a standard UNDO. You go to the history and select which specific edit to to revert. Note that this takes away any edits done after that.

Alternatively, you can PREV (preview) the edits and scroll through until you find the one to revert back to.

Note that reverting in this way is more reliable than a rollback button (tool) supplied to admins and rollbackers. Its just a better way in general.

A summary describing which edit the page was reverted to is customary and less confusing. Final signature 02:25, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

Clarification: Message in a bottle has TWO parts... one to TRIGGER the mission (finding the bottle), and one to actually grab the loot.

I think we have a difference in aethetics... does the part about FINDING the trigger belong in the mission itself? For that, I have to say... the OTHER Message in the bottle mission wiki have them... except this one (and maybe one other). Kschang (talk) 19:48, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

Concerning the Skullmasher information for the Rakkanoth and "The Rakk Dahlia Murder" articles.

Hello, I had added the Skullsmasher to those pages as I was lucky enough to get the drop as I finished the quest. I noticed that you removed the information from all the pages, and I would like to discuss with you the reason why. If it's because there was no photographic or videographic proof added with the information I can farm Rakkanoth with FRAPS running in order to get the rifle again. Re: Bad Hair Day. I agree that it was a minor, non-essential tip... but it was brief, directly on-topic, potentially helpful to some players, and on a stub page that explictly asks to be expanded.

I get it; you have to compromise between "comprehensive" and "succinct", but come on -- much of that existing page is taken up with examples of low-rarity weapon variants, yet my 11 words were unnecessary clutter? Sollipsist (talk) 18:21, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

You need to stop undoing everything you cant confirm yourself. The editor has over 300 edits and is in good standing. The purpose of a wiki that anyone can edit, is simply that... allow people to edit and get information for you. Final signature 01:37, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry if the above sounded harsh... I understand that you are a guardian of the wiki and for the most part, you do a good job. You may want to check the editors contributions and block log before simply taking away their ability to add stuff to the wiki. Final signature 01:46, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Let me expand on the above. There are two major theories concerning user related editing on a wiki. The first is to safeguard every edit and keep the wiki pure as possible. The second is to allow everyone to edit what they want and wait until they all stop editing to go ahead and fix everything.

A good combination of the two is advisable. The drawbacks of the first theory is that you can become burnt out by the flood and its a lot of work, plus peeps get annoyed about it. The drawbacks of the second is that things might slip into the wiki that are false and its a lot of work later.

What is good about both theories is that everyone has back-up with other trusted users. It becomes a core community that both safeguards and cleans up.

One thing to remember is that the wiki will always be there and will always need that core to function well. The information will eventually work itself out if the core community is strong. I hope I have made it clear that I consider you to be one of those strong members. Final signature 16:56, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

Modded skins

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can extrapolate without protecting anyone. Modders have been dropping off Modded skins for players, including the krieg event skins and for all the characters that are supposed to be gearbox employee only skins. I am not sure why the skins exist or how they can be modded, just that they are.

Even though this is not the players fault for the Modders dropping them off, people have a stigma against modders and have been heckling the players in game. They are shy to post them on the wiki talk pages, for this reason. Final signature 20:41, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

New Guide page and Category

I would like your opinion on the final analysis of this proposal. Thanks. Final signature 03:02, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

How can a user be doing vandalism by following the policy of this wiki? I am not getting on you about it, I am just trying to understand your reasoning because I truly don't see how someone who is following policy (adding what they believe to be correct) and has taken it to the talk page (per policy), can be considered vandalism when we are supposed to assume good faith (per policy).

I am at a loss, is all. I mean why wouldn't you respond on the talk page, rather than say its vandalism? Final signature 10:10, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Edit wars are allowed on this wiki. An adim reverted a users edit with the summary of "the constructor stops now. need to get close to get it moving". The user could have reverted warblades edit, in order to enter into a edit war. Instead, the user made a statement on the talk page, and the intent of adding the information again.

Entering into an edit war with an admin is allowed and not vandalism (although it might be riskier because the admin may abuse power and ban the user). Just letting you know that its not vandalism. Vandalism is intentionally trying to harm the wiki or insisting against policy.

I have not personally checked out the (possible) glitch myself so I cannot comment, or with any true understanding, enter into the edit war.

If you make the statement of vandalism, it is suppressive behavior. I know you believed it at the time, which is why I am telling you. If Warblade did the same, I would be on his talk page (I do not believe he would). Final signature 19:28, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Re: "Edit wars are allowed on this wiki." No. Edits warring is forbidden. We generally allow someone to push their opinion a couple of times, which generally receive cautionary notes in reply. If they hit four they're into block territory, sometimes three depending on the quality of the edit or conduct of the editor. This is roughly following Wikipedia's three revert rule. -- WarBlade (talk) 00:17, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

@ warblade- This is the first I have heard about that. Its a good idea, in fact. Should we include that, or a link, in the category:policy sections? The policy section and links are void of that idea as of now, as far as I can see. The definition should be concrete concerning bans.

@InfinitysCross- No, this is not about using a term loosely or not understanding the definition. Its about claiming vandalism when there is none. "Don't add the same note again; it will count as vandalism"  Is not a loose use of the term, it borders on threat and is confusing to the user who, as far as the user is concerned, did what the policy of the wiki asks such as "be bold", "take it to the talk page", and "ignore the rules".

Again, I am not trying to get on you... The talk page has been opened for debate on the subject, there is no need for loose terms to be thrown around. Final signature 08:15, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

Different note

Instead of coming on your talk page every time there is a problem, I would like to take the time to tell you the things that I appreciate about you.

  1. I am glad that you take every instance to learn more. I have seen the results come to fruition before.
  2. You are a guardian of the wiki, not of your own content (You have no idea how refreshing that is).
  3. You possess the cocky-ness needed but also have some of the open-mindedness to take a step back.
  4. You have the ability to be silly as well, this works great in chat situations and on talk pages.
  5. You observe what is going on, this may result in error but you fix it and press on anyway.
  6. You believe everything you do is correct, given your observations (no one has to worry about your good faith).
  7. You are extremely logical, which allows all of the above to take place.

These qualities are invaluable to a wiki. I apologize if I don't express this enough. I really do not mean to fill up your talk page with defining problems, which may result in apparent negativity. I am glad your a integral part of this wiki. Final signature 17:56, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Butt Stallion

I'm noticing a lot of people adding that trivia note about MLP on the Butt Stallion page. I was wondering if something like: <!--Please do not insert trivia regarding My Little Pony. It has been agreed that this will not be included until such a time as Gearbox confirms this speculation--!> could be tagged onto the end of the page to try to prevent this. The Delightful Doomsayer Fire Water Balance cropped Balance in Destruction 03:21, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Interesting question... I'm not really sure either... I guess I'll just put the tag up. Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't get slapped for talking about MLP. The Delightful Doomsayer Fire Water Balance cropped Balance in Destruction 03:30, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

frynote: the admins of this wiki are generally in the habit of simply banning anyone who mentions "MLP," "bronies," "brugs," "bruv," et al.
a note like that mentioned above will likely not be removed, if added, as it will remain hidden. however, such speculation, and the removal thereof, is stipulated in this wiki's trivia policy.
Fryguysigwob 03:35, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Better safe than sorry. Hopefully the note will prevent the constant trivia spamming (for lack of a better term in my head at this time) about My Little Pony. The Delightful Doomsayer Fire Water Balance cropped Balance in Destruction 03:43, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

I have changed the note to reflect trivia and wiki policy. Final signature 10:50, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

EDIT: I have also opened the Butt Stallion talk page.

Now you may revert MLP trivia on the Butt Stallion page with the summary of "per talk" and it explains everything, gives the User a chance to add talk comments, and (if they do) allows you to thrash those poor pre-teens with some logic. Final signature 11:24, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

I have official apologized to Acegikmo31 on behalf of the wiki. I have also linked the Simplified ruleset to the three revert rule for official clarity and consistency in use. I am glad that the wiki has benefited and that differences were worked out. Final signature 13:07, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

I am glad that you personally apologized but no one thinks your stupid. Your just observing and going with your gut on stuff... No one can blame you for that. I am just glad that you learn more and more. Observation is a great way to learn, as well, so dont be so hard on yourself. Your a good dude so stop it LOL. Shift codes

As a expert (compared to me) at twitter and such... I thought I would bring to your attention the lack of updates on the shift code page. I go to a different source for shift codes because of this. Is this something you would like to take over? If so, I will give you all my links and research.

As of right now, I have settled on a page that is extremely accurate. I would just copy the contents of that page to this wiki but that seems kinda lame. I was thinking that you might come up with something better. Either way, I think you would be ideal for the job. Final signature 06:04, September 16, 2013 (UTC)

It would be your decision. If I were to take it over, it would be more like mindless data entry rather than with more knowledge (the way I think you could provide). In the end I guess it would be more data entry than anything but you would be able to cross reference things much better for confirmation (not that it is necessary).

The reason I came to you is that I think you are the best one for the job, if it doesn't take away from your normal routine (which is important and I am sure Warblade appreciates it). Which is why you need to make that decision. I defiantly wouldn't want it to interfere and I can do it. I will talk to you more on steam about it (when we are in the same time frame). Barkley Badge

During a conversation with Dr.F a while ago, he informed me that your user specific template was in mainspace and could (as such) be used by anyone. It is also not sanctioned by Dr. F so I moved your template to your space (User:InfinitysCross/Barkleybadge) and provided all those badges in use with the new code: {{User:InfinitysCross/Barkleybadge}}

This gives 2 major advantages. The first is that you completely own the Badge and can cry foul if someone in the future uses it without your permission (which could not happen while it was in mainspace, being even more of public property). The second is that during administrative duties (including bots), none can delete your template. Final signature 04:03, September 29, 2013 (UTC)

you unedited my addition about the heart breaker. Maybe you can't count but only two of the items you can receive from moxxi are Hyperion, those two being the heart breaker and the slow hand. Also it was not too vague, moxxi left jack, making her a heart breaker. jack is in control of hyperion, the guns manufacturer. It cannot be said that my edit was incorrect because I had substantial evidence and did not say that it was a confirmed fact, only a speculation. Stop being ignorrant. Fuck you.

                                                  - the guy who knows more about borderlands than you.

oh you dont accept speculation and theories on here? thats junny since half of the things under trivia are just that. Also , you are not an admin as you are not on the admin list. Therefore you have no right to take anything off unless it is false, and my addition was not false. So ,again, stop being ignorant.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitemilk9551 (talkcontribs)

First of all there are many misconceptions here. Content is decided by a collaboration of users, not by admins. All policy is voted on and passed by the users that are active at the time. The policy on trivia was clearly spelled out by the community. If you wish to address this policy, you must make a blog... Not harass users who follow what they know as right.

As for things in trivia that have not been filtered yet... Trust me, Warblade will be deleting those.

As for the speculation that the Heartbreaker is a reference to Jack and Jack alone based on manufacturer is out on a limb. Everyone knows Moxxie is looking for a STR and has had many STR's under her belt. Not to mention the "world" as a red text.

If you wish to put down your views, add it to the Heartbreaker talk page for a record of what you think. Final signature 06:27, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

Eventually, the disambiguation page will have many links to it, from all games. This was complicated by the fact that it used to be the page for both current games. What we need to do, is change all the links to the disambiguation page in articles to the proper page instead of the disambiguation page.

The disambiguation page will be linked by editors that are new for the new game. It will only get worse if we don't control the links from the current games. Besides which, the disambiguation page MAY be used in lieu of the yet non-existent page for the new game (if it is prepared by cutting out the number of links). New Disambig Page Needed?

First off, thanks for moving/renaming The ZX-1. That really did irk me. Anyway, now that we have two distinct Mauler pages: Mauler and Mauler (class mod), should we create a new disambig page and rename Mauler to Mauler (weapon) - or something similar? I would do it, but am not sure on the process; I wouldn't like to screw it up...

Either way, thanks anyway! Sakuretsu115 (talk) 21:14, August 2, 2014 (UTC)

Salvador, well intentioned

I was the one who originally took that part out, giving a real life comparison to Sal's condition. I personally thought the shrinking was pure speculation and a stretch, although I do not know the Burchology on the subject.

Just letting you know that the editor was only restoring a previous version that long stood on the wiki. Final signature 08:20, August 21, 2014 (UTC)

I stumbled upon the edit made on Salvador’s page and seemed to remember that it didn’t use to be highly disparaging towards short people, which is why I word for word returned it to the previous version. My original assumption was that it was the result of a trolling attempt (You don’t have to go very far on the internet to find people making extremely hateful comments about short guys, which I’m sure you might have noticed).

When I went on your talk page to clear this up did I see that Best Robot, who originally made the change, had done it with good intentions. That doesn’t change the clumsiness of how it was written or the fact that it IS very disparaging. Society is permeated with the idea that while you can’t be offensive to racial minorities, women, LBGT or even overweight people, short guys are fair game and any protests are simply dismissed as ”Napoleon complex” or ”short man syndrome”, when that is a social construct to begin with. It is a stereotype, nothing more.

Given the Freudian references, it is very possible that Salvador suffers from poor self-esteem and that this is the reason for his fondness of guns. However, while the assumption that his testicles aren’t functioning might not be correct, it is by the very same logic wrong to attribute it to his height, especially by simply chalking it up to a ”classic definition of the Napoleon complex” and even further by referring to the ”quintessential game theory definition”, which features a grand total of one sentence of Wikipedia.

I made the incorrect assumption that Best Robot’s change was an attempt at trolling which had slipped through the cracks. As it turns out, it wasn’t, which is why instead will take to asking nicely:

Just as you wouldn’t put racist comments on Roland’s page or make similarly disparaging comments about Ellie’s weight, I would like you to remove the references to Napoleon complex on Salvador’s page. They contribute little to the page, they are inherently discriminatory in nature and only perpetuates the notion that short people are fair game.

LionoftheNorth (talk) 11:54, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

What? LoL... Please don't try and pull "racism" and "discrimination" as an excuse for your behavior. You were warned nicely before-hand and decided (on your own) to start an edit war. If there was discrimination, it was on your part in the attempt to label poor souls who used steroids in the past. And the trolling was all yours.
As far as short people go, if there is a case for discrimination, please leave your behavior out of it. Final signature 17:31, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

I admitted I was wrong. I was not trying to excuse myself, only explain why I did what I did. I didn't see the posts made on my talk page until after I had been blocked. You won't gain anything by being hostile towards me.

LionoftheNorth (talk) 20:42, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

I am not being hostile, just trying to discern fact. It is pretty puzzling... Given edit summaries, which seem like trolling, matched up to the explanation above. Many trolls operate by trolling then suggesting others are trolling, discriminating, or finding cracks in theory to exploit. Like I said, if there is a real concern for discrimination, please stick to the facts. The best place to do that would be Talk:Salvador. The community will decide on the merits of your concern. Oz Kits

I noticed you delete-tagged an Oz Kit article citing the lack of an infobox. It's true they don't have a dedicated infobox, but I'm also not sure that we need to make one. I could use your input on that. Springs' Oz Kit, and the other Oz Kit article I slapped together, (partly just to see how they'd work with an existing template) use Template:Infobox weapon2 (like relics do). Is that template sufficient do you think? Or is it lacking something that Oz Kits need? -- WarBlade (talk) 04:01, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

Well, okay then. Now to get the names straight. I've screencapped some standard ones. I've got:
  • Clear Skies Oz Kit
  • Duality Oz Kit
  • Duality Oz Kit
  • Hyperventilator Oz Kit
  • Meteoric Hyperventilator Oz Kit (incendiary)
  • Acidic Juggernaut Oz Kit (corrosive)
  • Tranquility Oz Kit
Looks to me like roughly the same naming convention we've been using for grenade mods, where "grenade" is included with a defining grenade type. Elemental prefixes can occur, but no prefix results in explosive damage slams. Do you agree? -- WarBlade (talk) 11:37, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

Laser Weapons

Is it okay to create a page for a legendary laser weapon or will it get deleted again? Everytime I create a page for a laser weapon, it gets deleted because of the lack of infobox for lasers. R goff98 (talk) 03:48, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

Hey, I had absolutely no idea that legendaries were able to be purchased from vending machines. I had thought that they could only be purchased from the Torgue vending machines.

About the editing it twice: This is the first time I've ever edited, or attempted to add information on any wikia ever. When I edited the page as second time, it was to reword the information (that I thought was helpful) that I had written. Since I did it almost instantly, when I got the message about a user already edited the post or something, I had thought that it was because I just posted the information, and it was thinking that I'm a different user or something. That's why I posted it again, and that's why it was worded differently and more detailed the second time. I figured that after racking up close to 1000 hours on Borderlands, as well as having read quite a lot of articles about legendaries, that it was something new in BL:TPS.

In response to the other part of your aggressive and threatening response about "Not worth being mentioned on every legendary page", how about instead of getting frustrated, you could be more mature and realize that if somebody is editing something that is apparently obvious to everybody that uses a wiki, then maybe it's not so obvious. If a detailed explanation bothers you too much, then how about adding something along the lines of "____ can also be obtained via vendors, like every other legendary."? That way, everybody that looks up specific legendaries will also learn that legendaries can be obtained by the vendors.

Just because you think something is obvious, doesn't mean that it's obvious to other readers. Maybe if the legendary page was a mandatory page to visit before continuing on to the rest of the site, your reasoning would be valid, but that's not the case. Not everyone has seen the legendary page.

Sorry 'bout that!

Sorry about the mess-up with the editing.  I'm still new to this, and I probably went a little too far.  I'm taking a good look at all the policies and such so I don't make any more mistakes.  About the Viral Marketer, when I said "visually similar", I had thought I meant that it just shared the same skin.  Sorry for not being clear with that.  If you feel my edit isn't up to par, please feel free to undo it.  I won't start an edit fight.  I don't like fights.  ._.  Promise! GadgetSteelmare (talk) 22:19, October 19, 2014 (UTC)

I'll admit, it was a little intimidating seeing my edit suddenly nuked.  WarBlade just nuked another one of mine, but that was because the reference I had made was speculative, without a true source to back it up. >.<  Seriously though, 3DD1.E is totally a reference to ED-E, and we all know it.  Anyways, I've been hanging about this wiki since I started playing BL2, but I decided to make an account today because last night I was looking up some of the newer guns, and found myself cringing at the spelling and grammar.  I think that from now on, I'll stick to just doing what I do best: Spellchecking.  .......And filling in Ned Kelly references.  Seriously, I went a little nuts when I first saw RedBelly in the Last Hope trailer.  It took me about half a second to realize what they were a reference to, and I kept pointing out all the references to my friend in the game.  Anyhoo, I'll let you get back to your job.  Thanks for being vigilant!  GadgetSteelmare (talk) 22:46, October 19, 2014 (UTC)

Apologies about unprofessional editing, I haven't done anything wiki before :)

I had just created the page, and myself am unsure about additional effects on the weapon. Being concerned that indiviuals would assume I had actually done any manner of real testing on the weapon, I wanted to make sure everyone was aware that additional testing needs to be done so it doesn't stay like that, as that would be quite horrible. I didn't want to leave it blank though, as I had ascertained at least a few of its unique effects, which is why I wrote what I knew and left "(possibly more)": so that people better at testing than I would know more testing needs to be done. It may have been misguided, but I wanted to explain my thought process, in case you know how to handle the situation in a more satisfactory fashion.

Thank you! Benzillah (talk) 00:21, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

I actually was trying to add pictures when I created/added to the pages I did. I was wondering if you can recommend a program or way of taking a screen shot. You told me to do the thing, so I did the thing

In Greek mythology, Prometheus was a Titan who sided with the gods during the Titanomachy. After the war, he stole fire from Olympus and presented it as a gift to mankind, allowing them to grow. Prometheus was harshly punished by the gods for his transgression, and Pandora was then created through Zeus' will. She was given many gifts by the gods, such as intelligence, kindness, and curiosity, and was wed to Prometheus' brother, Epimetheus, as a final act of vengeance. Epimetheus gave Pandora a jar containing all the evils of the world as a wedding gift, with instructions to never open it. However, her curiosity eventually caused her to release them upon the earth. The only spirit left within the jar was Elpis, the spirit of hope.

Promethea shares its fate of suffering with its namesake, and the advanced technology the Atlas corporation acquired from it can be symbolically seen as Prometheus' gift of fire, whereas the existence and contents of the Vaults can be seen as metaphors for Pandora's box. Lavisdragoon (talk) 01:32, November 6, 2014 (UTC)

Regarding the Fatale

Your assessment of their shared qualities is incorrect, I am afraid. They share the same weapon skin, the same special effect, the same use case. In fact, the only things that differ are the name & flavor text, and the element lock; the name and flavor text, as I have already made apparent, are incredibly unimportant. As we can see with Sledge's shotgun, it has changed its name from Borderlands 2 -> TPS, and what's more, going from Classic -> 2, it got an entirely different manufacturer as well (AND a new skin!), but it is still listed as a returning legendary, throughout all 3 games. And the element lock is also secondary, as the original Bitch was available in incendiary, shock, corrosive, slag, and non-elemental. So your justification is entirely bs. Therefore, I will be reverting your poorly thought-out revert again. Thanks for your time, though. :) Benzillah (talk) 21:08, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

Certainly the weapons can be differentiated by possessing different names, much as weapons that have returned wholesale still have separate pages on the wiki for their appearances in different games. However, that doesn't mean that the weapons are not clearly created in the same vein. I don't believe anyone here is so unintelligent that they will be unable to comprehend the meaning of "same gun" with minor alterations. I feel that the use case is also non-subjective, as both the Bitch and the Fatale are used in exactly the same way, in a fashion that is entirely unlike any other weapon in the game, being sniper-rifle accurate while ADS* and firing full-auto. The special effect makes it so much more crit dependent than any other smg, as there are better elemental effect "applier" weapons and body shots don't have more heft than what a simple plasma caster (BL2) could provide. If name is all that is required to be different, why does Sledge's Shotty still say returning legendary? It clearly is not returning, it has a different name, after all.
On a somewhat unrelated note, surely you don't believe that pointing out the immaturity of an individual refusing to have a conversation is more rude than an individual immaturely refusing to have a conversation? Benzillah (talk) 22:43, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

Minimum age violators and their bans

I was simply curious about this.

In Special:Contributions/Nyanic case and in similar cases, should lift block when time passes?

To me it makes sense only for a period utill they reach age of ToS. D1g (talk) 16:51, October 17, 2016 (UTC)
