Build Purpose

This build is good at stringing kills together and excels alongside one or two berserkers as tanks. There's really no focus on turrets, although now that there are 13 more possible skill points for each character, turret skills could certainly be added.

Suggested Order

I suggest that you try to get the Stat skill as early as possible. This build's major perk is that once you get your first kill, stat continues healing you and anyone around you as long as you keep up the string of kills. After getting stat, I recommend Metal Storm. Metal Storm helps to keep the kill streak going because your DPS spikes after your first kill. Between Metal Storm and Stat, you should be able to keep a decent healing aura for as long as there are mobs.

Lastly, if you elect to go beyond level 50 (and why wouldn't you?) I personally put points in cauterize for long distance healing, but also because the extra DPS from Metal Storm translates to extra healing. I also put points in Revive, and I use the turret as a recharging revive for when there are two or more teammates down. Because of this, I would put the last three points (the 61st level and the two points from the Underdome) into deploy so that the revive skill charges faster.

Equipment

Obviously, this build is best with combat rifles. Damage and accuracy are much more important than fire rate because of the Metal Storm bonus. I prefer Atlas weapons, though Vladof rifles are usually pretty nice. I wouldn't use a burst fire or single shot combat rifle because the fire rate bonuses don't have as much of an effect.

As for shields, Unbreakable shields are good, and anything that has an AOE elemental burst when the shield is depleted is a good idea since you will often find yourself in close combat.

I prefer Support Gunner combat mods because of their Ammo Regen bonuses. The only downside (IMO) to Metal Storm is that it can cause you to really burn through ammo quickly, the Ammo Regen bonus helps to alleviate this issue.
