Preferred Equipment

Explanation of equipment selection

 The shock damage sniper rifle is meant for taking out shields before you finish enemies off with your corrosive and incendiary weapons, while the incendiary repeater pistol should be used to finish off enemies quickly after your shotgun needs reloading (don't forget to use melee attacks if necessary), especially if you are bleeding to death, when every second counts.  The Plaguebearer Class Mod enhances two important survivability talents (Inner Glow and Mind Games) and increases corrosive damage (which your shotgun, shield and Phasewalk ability deal), making it easier to take out heavily armored enemies such as Lance Defenders.  Transfusion Grenades don't require the least precision when throwing of any grenades, and should ideally be thrown just before Phasewalking when you are VERY low on health, as the healing from the grenades continues while you are Phasewalking and combines with the healing from Inner Glow to top-off your health bar very rapidly. 

Strategy

The entire skill-point investment in this build centers around dealing massive amounts of damage at short range. Hit & Run and Phase Strike vastly increase your melee damage potential, while Striking adds additional utility to your melee attacks and allows you to achieve hard-to-come-by critical hits by flanking heavily armored enemies such as Spiderants and Skags. Hit & Run also synergizes with Inner Glow to allow Phasewalk to heal you for the maximum possible amount (increased by Plaguebearer Class Mod). Silent Resolve greatly increases your survivability after breaking Phasewalk with a Phase Strike enhanced melee attack, allowing you time to dispatch any other nearby enemies with your shotgun or pistol. In fact, the main strategy for dispatching groups of enemies revolves around using Phasewalk to close-in on enemies, and then using the deadly Phase Strike + Shotgun or Eridian Cannon combo to kill almost any enemy in a matter of no time. Between Hard To Get and Blackout, your Phasewalk cooldown should be up almost immediately after you end your previous one, provided you are able to kill at least one or two enemies in between (which shouldn't be a problem with such a massive level of close-range DPS). By chaining together Phasewalk sequences, you should have no problem whatsoever clearing even the largest groups of enemies, ideally saving the strongest enemies (Badasses and bosses) for last. Always try to reload your shotgun before you enter Phasewalk so you can finish off any enemies not immediately killed by you Phase Strike. Mind Games increases your survivability by giving you an opportunity to daze enemies from a distance, making them much less likely to hit you while you close in on them (his talent is also powerful at close range with shotguns, as each pellet has a chance to daze, almost guaranteeing the enemy will be slowed).


Pros

  • Insane amount of burst damage at close range allows you to take out almost any single enemy before they can return fire.
  • Short Phasewalk cooldown allows you to safely control the distance between you and enemies, or advance to cover without exposing yourself.
  • Plenty of elemental effects for every occasion: Shock for whittling down enemy shields and Corrosive or Incendiary to quickly finish the job.
  • Silent Resolve and the healing effects of Inner Glow and Transfusion Grenades allow you to survive close-range encounters where other Lilith builds would quickly be overpowered.
  • Plaguebearer Class Mod enhances damage from your Shotgun, Phasewalk AOE attack, and the Acid Burst from your shield.

Cons

  • Some lack of long-range damage, with the exception of your sniper rifle.
  • Phase Strike isn't as powerful without Venom.
  • This build isn't as powerful in CoOp play since you will often not be able to kill enemies fast enough to prevent them from returning fire with the Phase Strike + Shotgun/Eridian Cannon combo.
  • You may find yourself at a serious disadvantage when Phasewalk's cooldown is active, especially if your health is too low to safely return fire and attempt to activate Blackout by killing an enemy.  You best bet here is simply to take complete cover and wait for your shield to regenerate, Phasewalk's cooldown to be up, etc.
