Strategy

This character build is meant for CoOp play, but still manages to maintain some effectiveness in Solo games.  The basic idea is to have the Scorpio Turret up as often as possible (read: ALWAYS), stick near it, and shoot enemies and/or teammates as necessary.  In multiplayer games it's often a good idea to focus your fire on allies, as they most likely have a higher damage output than you, although feel free to blast away at enemies as you see fit when healing isn't necessary.  A key point to keep in mind while playing the role of healer is that you possess defensive capabilities exceeding nearly anyone except a Tank-specced Brick character.  Maintaining the correct balance of aggro between yourself and the player you are healing is crucial.  Because you (hopefully) have a shield focused on max capacity rather than recharge rate, you should try to take damage early on in the fight and take cover when your shield runs out, letting enemies focus on your allies.  Other than that, try to kill enemies in a timely fashion so Stat activates, and remember to check if your Revive was successful before you run for cover!

Pros

  • Between Defense, Grit, Aid Station and Stat, you are basically a walking tank, almost on-par with Brick in many circumstances.
  • Aid Station, Stat and Cauterize allow you to keep your teammates alive, and Revive will make sure they get back on their when you slip up.
  • Your turret is still relatively powerful with Sentry and Barrage, and is pretty much always active with the Leader Class Mod boost to Deploy.

Cons

  • Your damage output is lower than most Roland builds, even with the improvements to your Scorpio Turret.
  • Stat and Cauterize aren't nearly as effective (due to the aforementioned lack of damage per second).
  • Playing this build on Solo mode is only for the very patient (see above Cons).
  • Your Active Ability button might wear out after a few weeks of playing this build.
