The Unforgiven is a legendary pistol manufactured by Jakobs. The Unforgiven can be obtained randomly from any loot source

Special Weapon Effects

It's a helluva thing... – +400% Critical Hit Damage Bonus, reduced Fire Rate.

Usage & Description

The Unforgiven remains largely unchanged from its previous incarnations, featuring high damage potential in exchange for a slow fire rate that prevents the weapon from firing as fast as the user can pull the trigger. As such, it excels at short-medium range as a faux-sniper rifle, aiming for critical spots to make the most of the Unforgiven.

Notes

Trivia

  • The Unforgiven's Borderlands 3 incarnation was first revealed during multiple streams during the May 1st gameplay reveal event when it spawned randomly.
  • The Unforgiven has made an appearance in three different Borderlands games: Borderlands, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3.
  • The line "It's a helluva thing..." comes from the 1992 film Unforgiven, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood.  The full line is "It's a helluva thing, killin' a man. You take away all he's got, and all he's ever gonna have."
