Try-Bolt is a legendary assault rifle in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Torgue. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Manvark located in Konrad's Hold.

Do... or do not-bolt. – No Alternative Fire mode. Fires a burst of three rockets that explode shortly after contact with an enemy or surface. Slightly increased stats.
Usage & Description[]
Each shot from the Try-Bolt delivers 10% of its rated damage upon impact, and 90% in a subsequent explosion one second after impact. The explosion has a small splash radius. Despite the similarity of the delayed explosion, Try-Bolt gyrojets do not behave like Torgue sticky bullets: they gain no additional damage from stacking shots, and cannot be prematurely detonated by reloading the weapon. The Try-Bolt does not have an alternate fire mode.
The Try-Bolt's burst fire mode makes it similar in function to a Dahl assault rifle, and gives the weapon a much higher burst fire rate than standard Torgue assault rifles, though the delay between bursts brings its sustained fire back in line with standard models.
The Try-Bolt's gyrojets travel in a slight arc, and have a short range, detonating in midair after about a second in flight. The strong recoil of its burst causes considerable barrel hop. Its gyrojet rounds have the standard fairly slow flight speed of all Torgue assault rifles (cf Flogger). The Try-Bolt is thus suitable for only close range encounters.

- To see the weapon's full skin, it requires modification through third party programs.
- This weapon's skin reads "Torgue NCFB" on the stock, this can also be seen on a few different Legendary/Unique Torgue weapons, such as the Tunguska.
- Kills with the Try-Bolt count as kills from Torgue impact bullets.

- The flavor text is a reference to Yoda from the Star Wars franchise. The full quote is "Do, or do not. There is no try."
- This also doubles as a word play with the weapon's name.
- The name is a reference to the Tri-bolt in Quake Champions, which also fires a burst of 3 explosive projectiles.
