The Rat in the Hat is unique enemy encountered in The Horrible Hunger of the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler DLC for Borderlands 2. His appearance is of the midget rat wearing white uniform and no face mask.
Background
The Rat in the Hat does not spawn on his own. He hides inside Chef Gouda Remsay's hat and will reveal himself only when the hat gets blown off.

Strategy
Although The Rat in the Hat has the appearance of a Midget Rat, in combat it behaves like and uses phrases of a psycho. He is 'armed' with a backpack full of fruits and vegetables which he flings at the enemy. These projectiles are damaging just as buzz-axes are. If within the range, he will lash out melee attacks which are surprisingly powerful coming from enemy of that size. His small stature and erratic, quick movements makes him a very tricky target to hit. He is always equipped with a shield making him even tougher of an opponent. Shotguns and incendiary weapons are best suited to quickly dispatch him.
Trivia
- The name and spawning condition of the Rat in the Hat is a reference to the 2007 movie Ratatouille where a rat hides in the hat of a chef and controls the chef's movements by pulling his hair.
