The Garcia

The Garcia is a legendary shotgun in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Jakobs. It is a rare drop from Chonk Stomp located in Floodmoor Basin on Eden-6.

Special Weapon Effects[]

Rooty-tooty, pointy-shooty.

+200% weapon damage. Consumes 2 ammo per shot.
Has a unique 20-rounds double drum magazine.
All parts beside scope are fixed.

Usage & Description[]

The Garcia has a massive magazine size for a Jakobs shotgun, but is otherwise similar to common varieties (with greatly increased damage and magazine size). It can function as a watered-down Sledge's Shotgun, sacrificing burst damage for staying power due to its magazine size.

Notes[]

After a 3/12/2020 hotfix, The Garcia had its fire rate and number of projectiles increased.

Trivia[]

The flavor text is a reference to a joke by American stand-up comedian Brian Regan from his 2004 DVD I Walked on the Moon, in which he mocks the inventor of the walkie-talkie for giving it such a silly name in light of its military origin.
