The Flood is a legendary pistol in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Jakobs. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Lagromar located in Konrad's Hold on Pandora.

Take us. – Fully automatic firing mode. Increased fire rate. Reduced accuracy and damage.

Usage and Description

Compared to other purple quality Jakobs pistols of the same level, The Flood has worse accuracy and less damage per hit, but the fire rate is higher than even most Jakobs assault rifles. The critical ricochets can put out a lot of area of effect damage.

Due to the low accuracy and strong recoil, hip fire in close quarters is recommended for using The Flood.

Notes

Despite being fully automatic, The Flood remains single-action, causing the player character to fan the hammer at comically high speeds.

Trivia

The name and flavor text are a reference to the song Floods by Pantera.
