The Chaos Chamber is an end-game area in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
Summary[]
Access to The Chaos Chamber is unlocked after completing the quest Epilogue. The Chamber is a rougelike PvE arena featuring combat against waves of enemies and previously defeated bosses.
Runs are automatically failed after using all extra lives indicated by a counter on the right of the screen. All enemies may drop crystals, a currency exclusively used in the Chaos Chamber.
Several kinds of runs are available:
- A Featured Run is a fixed collection of rooms and enemies curated by Gearbox, available for a limited time and featuring an online leaderboard.
- A Normal Run is a randomly generated sequence of three dungeon rooms, a miniboss, three more dungeon rooms, and a final boss.
- An Extended Run is a Normal Run with three additional dungeon rooms and a second miniboss fight.
- A Boss Run is six battles that alternate between a randomly selected miniboss and boss.
- A Chaos Trial has a fixed layout (except the boss) based on your Chaos Level, and will unlock new Chaos Levels in Chaos Mode if completed successfully.
- A Special Event occasionally.
Each room can be one of these types:
- A Curse Room where the Dragon Lord appears and provides one curse out of two choices. Each curse gives special effects and additional crystal drops for the rest of the run. The first room of each run is always this type.
- A Butt Stallion Room where the Butt Stallion appears and provides a random skill boost for the rest of the run.
- A chest room where the loot die at the end contains weapons and gears.
- A crystal room where the loot die contains crystals.
- A boss room with an orange portal.
Before entering the next room (except the boss room), it is possible to use some crystals to turn the room into an elite room, where enemies gain +3 levels.
Each dungeon room may contain these elements:
- A sub objective where the player can achieve to gain extra crystals. It can be one of the following:
- Destroy a Dragon Lord Statue somewhere in the room.
- Prevent a Butt Stallion Statue somewhere in the room from being destroyed before the room is cleared.
- Finish enough enemies with melee attacks.
- Stay in a circle (which is named "Sacred area") in the room and slay enough enemies.
- Finish the encounter within 2 minutes.
- There is a fire sprite in the room which will die if not fed with mold on time. Molds can be dropped by enemies.
- A few altars where the player can spend crystals to gain additional buffs for the run. The price increases for subsequent uses.
- A few switches which can be activated by shooting a skull hidden nearby. Such switch gives some crystals when activated and used.
- A Kwartz which will release a stronger enemy when destroyed.
After successfully completing a run, the player can enter a Loot of Chaos room, which contains:
- One more large chest of extra loots and Moon Orbs.
- Vending machines which have legendary gear as "item of the day".
- A few statues with gear category icon above. The player can feed them with crystals and get random gear of specified category, where the amount and quality is determined by the number of crystals fed each time, up to 2,000.
