The Boring Gun

The Boring Gun is a legendary shotgun in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Torgue in Borderlands 3. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.

Special Weapon Effects

This is beyond science. – Increased splash damage radius. Shoots 3 sawblades that drop to the ground and move vertically in a cone. The sawblades will explode upon hitting an enemy or a short period of time after firing.

Description & Usage

The Boring Gun can be a challenging weapon to use due to its odd projectile pattern and spread. It is also completely ineffective against aerial enemies. However, it can kill aerial enemies that are in close range, such as rakk. This is not recommended due to the damage it may inflict on the character, potentially crippling them. It is deadly against shielded foes such as Enforcers, rendering their held shield useless as it travels underneath. It is recommended for use at mid range.

Notes

The sawblade projectiles are affected by obstacles, bumps in the terrain and gravity, and will change their course appropriately upon collision.
The sawblade projectiles will always drop to the ground, regardless of the direction they are shot towards.

The flavor text is a reference to a popular internet meme from a 2018 Bollywood film.
The name of the weapon could be a reference to The Boring Company, which made the "not a flamethrower" that Long Musket is based on.
