Usage & Description

The Blister is a Unique weapon whose special ability is increased damage. Its corrosive effect is just the consequence of having a normal corrosive accessory: The weapon has no corrosive-related boosts. Overall, The Blister is just a normal corrosive shotgun with somewhat higher damage and average accuracy. It's underwhelming; especially in comparison to Maliwan's corrosive-boosted Crux.

While manufactured by Torgue, The Blister carries Dahl characteristics.

Trivia

• The name and red text may be a reference to Frank Beddor's novel Seeing Redd, in which there is a character named Blister. Described as "a borderlander who possesses the ability to cause extremely painful blisters on the skin of anyone he touches", this likely served as inspiration for the weapon.

Mechanics

The Blister gets its effect from the Blister_barrel3 barrel, which gives about 20% more damage than the standard barrel3. The blister is restricted to acc3_Corrosive and mag4. The Blister is made of Blister_Material, which, strangely enough, is (almost) Material_Dahl_1. Please see stat modifiers for an explanation on how to interpret all of these modifiers.
