Description & usage

The Thanatos' special effect basically turns a pistol into stable, fast-reloading, large magazine-SMG. Mordecai, the Pistol specialist, can make exceptional use of the Thanatos: handled like an SMG, it gets all the skill/mod benefits granted to pistols.

What makes the Thanatos so interesting is that the special effect comes from the magazine, meaning there is no limits to the variations available on the Thanatos: Elemental, double, etc. Further more, the Thanatos effect has no drawbacks, it is simply better in all fields than the equivalent non-Thanatos weapon.

Notes

• One of the three pre-Knoxx Pearlescent weapons.
• Although the Thanatos was a pre-Knoxx Pearlescent weapon, it has an extremely low rarity level. It would sometimes surpass orange rarity weapons.
• Following the theme of Greek mythology throughout the game, Thanatos shares a name with the ancient Greek daemon personification of death.
