Tankman's Shield

Tankman's Shield is a legendary sniper rifle in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Hyperion. It can be obtained as a drop from Captain Traunt on Athenas, and the Valkyrie Squad and Wotan the Invincible on Mayhem Mode 4.

You ever seen this dude tank anything ever? – Every kill adds weapon damage to the next magazine. Low base damage.

Usage & Description[]

The Tankman's Shield requires one-shot kills to efficiently earn the bonus stacks. Skills in Moze's Bottomless Mags and FL4K's Fade Away are especially useful with the weapon. However, the extraordinarily low base damage means that even at the 200% bonus cap, other weapons easily outperform it.

Notes[]

Moze's Forge, Click, Click..., Some for the Road, The Iron Bank, Scorching RPM's and Redistribution skills are effective at utilizing and gaining stacks of the bonus damage effect.
After a 3/12/2020 hotfix, the percent damage awarded per kill was increased. Additionally, the maximum damage cap was increased by 200%.
