Slagga does drop from grieving tector
I was trying to farm him when I accidentally killed jimbo, then I said screw it and pulled out my rocket launcher. Then grieving tector DID drop the slagga. So yeah, he does drop it when jimbo's dead. Not sure where that came from. If it was datamined or something, they must have updated it since. --El_Nazgir 11:36, December 20, 2012 (UTC)
% chance of slagging apply to each individual bullet?
So I just farmed the Slagga for the first time, and mine has about an 18% chance of slagging. I feel that it's a little bit low, so I want to ask: since it shoots 3 bullets at the cost of 1 SMG ammo, does each of the 3 bullets have a 18% chance of slagging (so there are 3 opportunities to slag per pull of the trigger)? Or does the % chance apply to all 3 bullets at the same time (so either all 3 bullets will slag the target, or all 3 won't)? I'm posting this here so the answer can be added to the wiki, as I feel it is quite important information. Cybersteel8 (talk) 07:03, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
Not sure about the split... Just going on the high chance to slag and the 8.8 rate of fire, the chance to slag enemies is near 100% per second. If each bullet has a 18% then its near(er) 100% per second. The difference should be negligible to our perceptions within 2 seconds. 07:17, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
- In my experience, the chance to slag is applied per projectile, since I've had success slagging targets at point blank (where all three projectiles connect with the same target) more than half the time with a single shot.
- The variant I'm working with has a nominal 24% chance to slag. Mathematically, ignoring skills, Badass Rank, etc., there's a 56.1% chance to slag if all three projectiles hit the same target. In practice, your chance to slag with all three projectiles will be even higher. See Wolfram|Alpha computation —FieryDragonLord 20:40, April 26, 2014 (UTC)
