Is there a confirmed loot source yet? 19:51, October 11, 2012 (UTC)

Nope... the code that was used for other weapon locations was exctracted by a single person. They only did boss drops but that covered almost every weapon but a few. The Whisky Tango Foxtrot, Chubby Bunny and Bouncing Bonny were some of the remaining items and we figured out they drop off non-boss enemies (chubbies and loot midgets). We were able to figure those out just through the massive number of people reporting where they got them. For some reason though there isn't a clear pattern to the Shredifier. So all we know is that it drops from a non-boss enemy that's really rare. That or they forget to make an enemy drop it commonly. M0xxy (talk) 20:21, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
I picked one up from the slot machine in The Dust when I got three Vault symbols. I was on The Man Who Would Be Jack and level 26. 23:52, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
The Warrior dropped the one I picked up, so it definitely can drop from at least one boss enemy. Or he has a really expansive loot pool. OR I just happened to get lucky. Regardless, level 50, farming The Warrior, Ferocious Shredifier dropped. Malchia117 (talk) 02:37, October 13, 2012 (UTC)
You just got lucky. Any drop CAN be an orange drop but there's a specific boss that each orange can drop from at a high rate. The Warrior spews out so much loot that the chance of getting one of these random rares from him vs his specific orange drops is much closer than normal since the extreme rare chance procs for every weapon drop but the uncommon drop only procs once. This gives people the illussion that every orange weapon is the special drop from the Warrior. M0xxy (talk) 04:08, October 13, 2012 (UTC)
I just got the Ferocious variant from a Loot Midget in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. SwimmingNaked (talk) 08:06, August 9, 2014 (UTC)

"The flavor text is based on the "Speed Kills" series by Michael Angelo Batio in 2003." Is this verified somewhere? 'Speed kills' has been a phrase for decades before 2003. --Azaram (talk) 06:14, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

It's been reported that Pyro Pete will drop the shredifier along with many other different legendary weapons so if you really want the shredifier i suggest fighting Pryo Pete at Lv 52 or above that way you are sure that you can get a legendary weapon.

Reported by whom? And sig your edits. InfinitysCross (talk) 08:25, August 9, 2014 (UTC)
