Cash Only, and in singles[]
The update fixed it so that this shield now drops cash like it's supposed to. But in testing it out, what I experienced doesn't follow what's under Usage and Description. No shield boosters dropped, and the booster sound triggered when a cash bundle popped out, splitting into three small piles on the ground. Each pile was worth $1.
I don't know why, but I thought maybe the amount of money would be proportional to the amount of shield missing. But even with a sliver of shield left, cash dropped was still $1.
Can anyone confirm that it drops shield boosters as well as cash?

Nope, I can confirm the shield only drops $1, doesn't produce sound, and doesn't drop boosters. I was rather disappointed, as it is one of the rarest items in the game. Teraku (talk) 08:50, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
