All "rank" based damage scales with level, at least that I am aware of. Even the siren slag ball goes from 90 damage at low level to 722 around level 50, which is hardly a relevant amount of damage. Per-rank I deal approximately 11,500 damage. I am currently level 50, have only one point in the skill and the damage seems uneffected by badass rank. Just was hopping someone could reword to clarify that I.O. doesn't "render critical hits impossible" like the description currently says. The additional slag damage won't be multiplied for a critical hit, but critical hits are still very much possible.

I noticed my weapon dealt the proper amount of critical damage, but it prevents the game from recognizing it as a critical hit. Specifically, I noticed it was preventing me from getting the "Kill x enemies with a critical hit" optional objective for the Circles of Slaughter. Not for damage, but SoT boosts it to a 90% chance to slag, where +6 Technophile boosts it to 110%. The bonus damage (somewhere between 30-50%, single shot) is unaffected. Lavisdragoon (talk) 22:19, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
