"Like most Eridian weapons"?

Seriously, how many Eridian weapons actually inflict electric damage? Pre-DLC3, there was the Lightning and the Storm, versus the Cannon which inflicted non-elemental damage, as I believe did all varieties of blaster - they all looked electrical, but didn't actually inflict shock damage. DLC3 has introduced many new Eridian weapons, most of which are in elemental types other than shock. Do they really deserve a reputation for electric damage? Mad Mephit 23:15, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

Huh, that's a good point. I never really thought much about this, considering I stayed away from all Eridian tech, beyond just messing around. The only real benefit they had was the unlimited ammo, but the long "reload" of them charging made it difficult to manage in a firefight (also, it's relatively easy to find ammo regen weapons. I'm up to my ass in Equalizers). The newer ones might be worth messing around with, however. Furiant 00:29, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

If your proficiency rises, they start to recharge quite fast - making them very usable for fire fights. The slow shots are still a big downer, though. I started to use almost only Erdian weapons. Put two Erdians in your weapon slots and fire away - no ammo issues anymore. Naidire 16:38, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, has anyone noticed that when you have the rifle equipped, you move at a normal speed? Compared to moving slower with most other Eridian weapons. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this. Deadlock82 12:29, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

I can confirm this. The Eridian Rifle allows the player to move at normal speed, or something almost like it. Noticably faster than holding other Eridian weapons. I'd just like to add that the Rifle is an extremely effective and deadly weapon for Roland. He gets more shots out of it thanks to Overload. Add a Heavy Gunner mod to make it shoot faster and longer between recharging (kills wild alpha skags in about 3 seconds), or add a Shock Trooper mod to make it dramatically more powerful in terms of total damage per trigger pull thanks to damage over time. And unlike the Thunderstorm, the Rifle version lets you reach out and kill people at a significant range..Awesome weapon!
