Several notes on armor and armor penetrationr :

1)armor that your enemy WEARS substracts its armor points (AP) from damage you deal. If you deal less damage than that part of enemy you are shooting at has armor - then you are dealing 0 damage. AP of enemy increase with its level. Different bodyparts can have different AP.

2)Elemental protection offers AP agains corresponding element. Elemental immunity is just elemental AP=99999 which makes attacks of those elements futile.

3)Enemies of higher level recieve less damage from your attacks - your damage is divided in relation with opponents level in geometrical progression, but cannot be lower than 1.

That was tested, but not as well as it should be, so it can be wrong in some places, as well as all im saying. Dont mind me.Sinael 16:52, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Damage Player does versus monsters. This was all gotten from a field test against bandits in version 1.3.0. Someone else can finish this up and put it into the page eventually if they care.

Monster is 6 or more levels lower - 200%

5 levels lower - 160%

4 levels lower - 140%

3 levels lower - 130%

2 levels lower - 120%

1 level lower - 110%

Same level - 100%

1 level higher - 80%

2 levels higher - 60%

3 levels higher - 40%

4 levels higher - untested

Critical hits

Let's say I have a Bessie which does 1000 damage has a 500% critical hit bonus. I want to know the formula for crit. hit bonuses. 200% is the normal critical hit (this is against a bandit). Would the formula be 1000x2+1000x 5, or 1000x2x5. Note: x is a multiplication sign, not a variable. Thek826 20:13, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

BL2 damage scaling

The much stronger scaling of damage and Health with level in BL2 leads me to believe that they removed the hidden level modifier to damage. (Not to mention the rather unimpressive performance of the players against enemies 5-7 levels lower than they were in the Community Day livestream.) Of course, testing in the actual game will be required to confirm this.
