On ps3, i tried about 20 times to get a backpack SDU off this claptrap in playthrough 2, and it just doesn't want to happen. I've got 54 slots so far, so this is the last one not including the DLC one.
I have both DLCs, and havent got the DLC claptrap as of yet. little help?
- look for claptrap in lumberyard. mad moxxi has no sdu's only skill point.
- there is a limit to the maximum number of slots available, the claptrap in the lumberyard is noted in it section
I got up on the building to the left of the Claptrap, as suggested under "Notable Loot". Whoever created the section may have been lucky enough to get a Class Mod from that pile, but all I got was a revolver and some ammo.

I also think the person who created this section was lucky and a little overzealous by thinking that was a tricky jump to get. Not sure what standard wiki procedure is, but it should probably be removed.
It may not be a tricky jump for you but it is for me. I don't know what platform your using it may be for example eaiser on a PC?
there should also be a note to distinguish it from the weapons chest by the toolbox
