play through 3?[]

Is their play through 3? I thought I heard something about Play Through 2.5 but i beat it on play through 2 (Now i did not do most of the side quests i just did mostly the story the second time around. Is their something wrong with my game? —Preceding unsigned comment added by ADHD-Panda (talkcontribs) 03:23, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Requirements[]

someone brought up an interesting point. video requirements are a little heavy. this game runs fine on an ion powered htpc. <+> Dr. F

Bogus Weapons[]

Shouldn't that mention of the crazy weapons be removed, since they are impossible? There is no pistol that shoots shotgun shells, nor a rifle that shoots homing rockets. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ion69 (talkcontribs)

Noted and changed. --Nagamarky 05:03, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
The way I understood it was that someone found a Masher Revolver, in that it shoots a spread of projectiles akin to a shotgun, And they didn't claim it was homing rockets, "Everything from homing darts to rockets," although still, these don't exist. PsychopathicZombie 07:52, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Rumors[]

I say that Borderlands does NOT have Rocket-firing pistols or dart shooting Pistols or whatever you guys say.BUT they have better things like Alien weapons, Shotguns that shoot rockets to The Freaking "Pearlescent" Weapons.A Ultra-Rare Weapon that's Superpowerful! In my opinion,This is what I Think: Borderlands>Fallout:New Vegas Borderlands>Call of "Doody" Borderlands<Chuck Norris! (Sorry,Gearbox!) the release date is wrong on the main page... it should be October 20, 2009

Which Add-On is the best?[]

I've had Borderlands for about 2 weeks now, and I'm almost finished with the game. But when Im done, I was planning to buy a Add-On. Theirs's So many to choose from. Theirs Dr. Ned Zombie Island, Moxxie's Underdome, Secret Armory Of General Knoxx, and Clap-Traps Robot Revolution. Which Add-On is best?

If you are only going to get one add on, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is the way to go. It has the Pearlescents, tougher enemies, The Armory, Crawmerax, etc... the others can be fun to play but dont have the same mix of elements that makes the original game so great( loot, though enemies) IMO. 11:18, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

In order of importance to download...

  1. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx (Best DLC overall, plus pearlescent guns.)
  2. Mad Moxxi's Underdome riot (The Bank is the greatest thing since sliced bread.)
  3. Dr. Ned's Zombie Island (Because Zombies.)
  4. Claptrap's New Robot Revolution (An overhyped and ultimately forgettable/skippable DLC. Shame on you for this one, Randal.)

Ranking the atrociously boring Underdome above the funny Robolution & its famous gift shop is just crazy. Muchos latest (talk) 01:59, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

Post Playthrough 2 DLC content - Please clarify[]

On the main page it reads, "if you intend to play DLCs, do not complete Playthrough 2 unless you are a very capable player and are particularly adept at 'tough' difficulty combat." Can somebody please explain to me what this means? Why is there such a recommendation? Thank you. Musha Shukou 19:35, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

After you complete PT2 in the main game, you will start PT 2.5 automatically. This effect carries over to DLC1 and 4 I believe. DLC3 has its own level scaling trigger and is unaffected. (I don't have DLC2, so can't comment there.) In PT 2.5, you'll meet enemies at your own level, and you won't be able to "over-level" yourself to make the game easier. If you are still on PT2 in the main game, you can level past the recommended level for the mission, and the enemies will become much easier as they are at the recommended level. Shouldn't it be MA 17+ instead of 15+? Ishimura Elite 12:23, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

{description of blatanly modded weapon removed}

Now i'm gonna take a stab and say it's been tampered with but I'm still not sure. Does anyone know of this gun or am I dreaming?110.143.161.46 08:02, August 1, 2012 (UTC)

blatant mod is blatant. You can see here (Forum:Ask the experts. Is this Modded?) what the biggest telltales are. happypal (talk • contribs) 11:25, August 1, 2012 (UTC)

from article[]

This game is awesome. you should get it. The co-op and all that stuff is great. I like running over psychos and shooting them with a rocket launcher. Its pretty fun. - 76.240.27.9 (prose moved from article)

Mission level/reward scaling in PT 2.5 does not exist[]

There's a bit of confusion regarding the scaling in PT 2.5. The side missions and the rewards for turning in those missions don't scale up to the player's level but the enemies do scale up as expected. PalZer0 (talk) 07:39, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
