I did not realize that the Borderlands 2 engine even worked that way, but thankfully basedgod Derch enlightened me. So, case closed. Secondary Projectile Split Distance
EDIT: It turns out that the split distance IS based on time travelled, but Borderlands 2 measures that time in FRAMES, which means that the actual split distance can vary to an extent.
