Does this enemy even need it's own page? It's just a re-skinned Badass Bruiser anyway. NOhara24 11:53, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Well that's an endgame name, so it should be redirected, but I think this and the other Bandit-Traps should be on Bandit-Trap articles rather than Bandit articles. That way they can be categorised as DLC4 enemies and also either "Claptrapped" or "Claptrap (enemy)" (once a consensus forms about their faction and possible subgroup). The other sticky problem with trying to shoehorn them into the Bandit faction is they try and kill Bandits when introduced. Or so I hear. I've been holding off on pressing through this DLC until the balance patch lands and (hopefully) fixes the enemy level scaling. Once you see how Crimson Lance Defenders and midgets are friendly to each other, you soon get the idea that all humans are actually one faction, yet these claptrapped units come across as no more human than a zombie. -- WarBlade 12:19, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
I see your point now. The clap-trapped enemies kill everything in their path except themselves and their robotic kin. But I mean at the same time too, they retain their behavior from when they were un-trapped as far as tactics goes. Then again, i'm not a sysop around here, so i'll go with whatever is decided. bandit-trap pages vice claptrap (faction) page

the dust has long since settled from the release of dlc4 and the attendant rescale patch. perhaps it's time to revisit the debate regarding incorporating -trapped baddies into the Claptrap (faction) page or giving each -trapped enemy type it's own page. i, for one, see Claptrap (faction) as a complete and fleshed out page that stands out on it's own and would like to see any valuable information on this mainspace article salvaged and moved to the -trapped enemy page before re-purposing this page into a re-direct.

My position still stands. Each enemy unit type should have its own article. I think that's close to what you're saying too. -- WarBlade 22:58, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
close. i think that simple re-skinned enemies should receive have a subheader on their mainspace articles, along with a thumbed pic. *bump: please see Forum:DLC4_still_needs_work.

at any rate, i think we are in accord that the DLC4 mainspace pages are in dire need of some TLC. -fry
