Trivia

  • This gun is named after Mikhail Ilyich Surkov, allegedly a World War 2 Red Army sniper who was said to have scored over 700 confirmed kills. However, no reliable sources acknowledge the existence of Surkov, and the record for confirmed sniper kills is generally considered to be held by Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä, whos scored around 500 (plus ~150 SMG kills) sniper kills. It is likely that Surkov only exists in folklore, as a propaganda exercise, or that his kill count was significantly inflated.
