The Sloth is a Unique Sniper Rifle manufactured by Dahl in Borderlands 2. Sloth can be obtained by returning the booze to Mordecai in the mission Rakkaholics Anonymous.

Special Weapon Effects

Yeah, booze'll do that to ya...  – Reduced bullet speed. Increased damage. While equipped, Mordecai will maintain ECHO contact with the Vault Hunter and comment on actions such as going into Fight For Your Life.

Usage & Description

Sloth is an above-average weapon when compared with sniper rifles of the same level against stationary targets but the slow projectile speed make it difficult to use against flying or running targets without leading the target.

Bug/Anomaly

The Spanish version of the game doesn't play Mordecai lines when using this weapon. The same happens with the Trespasser, another sniper rifle given by Mordecai as a quest reward.

Trivia

• The flavor text refers to the lethargic effects of a hangover.
• The weapon's name stems from Sloth, one of the seven deadly sins in Christian belief, or from the Sloth, an animal mainly known for being slow and lazy.
