The Slagga is highly versatile and effective weapon overall. Its accuracy is decent at best, but the sheer number of projectiles makes up for it. With its high Slag chance it is perhaps most useful as a "slag & swap" weapon, with its huge magazine size allowing this process to be repeated several times before reloading. However its damage output is still superior in its own right, and weaker enemies can be killed outright without the need to swap.

Due to the extremely buffed effect of slag in the [[Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode]] the Slagga is one of the most useful weapons available; even if the player outlevels it by far, it will be just as effective at slagging.

Slagga is a legendary submachine gun manufactured by Bandit. Slagga is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source but has an increased chance to drop from Tector & Jimbo Hodunk located in The Dust. It is also obtainable in the Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC, in which it can drop from the Handsome Dragon in Hatred's Shadow.

Special Weapon Effects

blagaga – Always Slag element. Fires 3 slag projectiles with reduced damage per shot at a cost of one SMG ammo. High chance to slag.

Usage & Description

The Slagga is a versatile and effective weapon, with moderate accuracy, but able to unleash a high number of projectiles. With its high Slag chance the Slagga is useful as a "slag & swap" weapon, with its huge magazine size allowing this process to be repeated several times before reloading. However, its damage output is still formidable in its own right, and weaker enemies can be killed outright without the need to swap.

Due to the high effectiveness of slag in the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode the Slagga is very useful at high levels, even if the Vault Hunter wielding it is of a far higher level than the gun.

Notes

  • Jimbo & Tector Hodunk, the enemy most likely to drop the Slagga, can be fought by siding with the Zafords at the end of the Clan Wars mission arc. Once sided with the Hodunks, players will be unable to fight Mick Zaford, the enemy most likely to drop the legendary Jakobs revolver, Maggie. The Hodunks will continue to spawn at the train station in The Dust.
