The Skullmasher (Borderlands 2) is a Legendary Sniper Rifle manufactured by Jakobs.

Usage & Description
Another legendary weapon returning from the original Borderlands game, the Skullmasher is largely unchanged. The most prominent difference between its Borderlands 2 and original iterations is that in Borderlands 2, it is capable of semiautomatic fire and therefore a much faster fire rate than was ever possible in Borderlands. As before, the Skullmasher fires a tight spread of 5 sniper rifle bullets albeit at the cost of a significant amount of damage. However, each shot still only costs one bullet, and if all 5 bullets connect the Skullmasher is capable of much higher raw damage output than most of its peers. It tends to have very low accuracy for a sniper, however. The Skullmasher is even less accurate than its' original incarnation. Due to its spread it is best used at mid-range, taking careful aim at critical points, against ludicrously large enemies such as The Warrior, or flying enemies.
Drop Guide
- Skullmasher (Borderlands 2) is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Son of Mothrakk located in Wildlife Exploitation Preserve.
Notes
- The Skullmasher is one of the several Orange-rarity Legendary weapons returning from Borderlands.
- When used in combination with Zer0's Critical Ascensi0n, a perfect critical from all five pellets will yield five stacks of the buff.
