Like its predecessors, each shot only costs one round of ammunition. If all six projectiles connect, the Skullmasher is capable of much higher raw damage output than most of its peers. It tends to have very low accuracy for a sniper rifle, however, and is best used at mid-range against large enemies such as [[The Empyrean Sentinel]].

This article is about the Sniper Rifle in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. For other uses, see Skullmasher (Borderlands) or Skullmasher (Borderlands 2)

The Skullmasher (Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel) is a legendary sniper rifle manufactured by Jakobs. Skullmasher is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Nel located in Regolith Range.

Special Weapon Effects

A real head turner...turned to mush...ahahaha! – Shoots five projectiles that bounce at the cost of one round. However, each projectile suffers from decreased damage.

Usage & Description

Another legendary weapon returning from Borderlands and Borderlands 2, the Skullmasher is largely unchanged. In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, it features a faster rate of fire, fires a cluster of six bullets, one more than its predecessor, just like the original.

Like its predecessors, each shot only costs one round of ammunition. If all six projectiles connect, the Skullmasher is capable of much higher raw damage output than most of its peers. It tends to have very low accuracy for a sniper rifle, however, and is best used at mid-range and/or against large enemies such as The Empyrean Sentinel.

Notes

Since this fires six pellets instead of one bullet, it can achieve multiple critical hits in one shot. This is useful for obtaining the Melon Splitter challenge faster.
