Skag Gully is a ditch with big caves and the tallest mountain on Pandora. It is located east of The Arid Badlands. You will see a lot of skag dens, as well as the first boss enemy, Nine-Toes in his hideout. It is pretty much a tutorial level, teaching you more gameplay and HUD basics.

While there isn't much in-game info about this area, at the start you may see what appeared to be a caved-in mine shaft.

Notes
- This area has more skags than most, if not all, other areas in the game.
- When coming up to Scar from the east, before you get to the rock bridge look out to some wind turbines, look below them and there is the biggest Rakk Hive in the game.
- Skag Gully has the only solar panels in the game[citation needed], powering the New-U station and the vending machines.
- The battle music in skag gully is only ever heard there.

- When traveling down the western path, before jumping off the cliff into the fourth Skag pit, you can look out to the horizon to see the games largest skag skeleton (as seen on the right), ranging from about 50x to 100x the size of Skagzilla and close to three times the size of the Rakk Hive.
