Sr. Hammerlocks Big Game Hunt
Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is the third DLC to be announced for Borderlands 2. There are three trophies/achievements included in a prerelease patch one for completing a mission called Fall of Nakayama, one for completing all side missions and one for finding all named locations.
Randy Pitchford has stated the DLC will be released "before the end of the world". A later tweet from the official Gearbox Twitter specified a release date of January 15th, 2013.

Prior DLC launch, a event special event is taking place from January 11 to 10:55AM CST / 4:55PM GMT on Saturday, January 12. During this one day event "Vault Hunters are reporting that various areas of Pandora have seen an influx of powerful shotguns". It's currently unkown where this event is taking place, and what existing shotguns are affected with increased drops, or if there are new models.

"Danger! Excitement! Mustaches! It's time for another episode of Vault Hunter Adventures, featuring Sir Hammerlock! In this week's tale, our hard-boiled heroes travel to the savage continent of Aegrus! Their goal? To uncover the most exotic creatures Pandora has to offer, and give 'em the old one-two!"
- Is set to take place on a swamp/jungle continent called “Aegrus”
- A new vehicle will be added to the game which has been named the ‘fan-boat’ which will be summoned from a Catch-A-Boat, is set to have 68 customized skins. As well as being to able to have either a corrosive, incendiary or shock weapon mod on it.
- One new head and character skin for each character class.
- It will feature about 5 main quest missions and 12 side-missions.
- A Stalker raid boss named Voracidous that’s the size of a small building.
- More Seraph gear.
- New Hammerlock-themed weapons.
- New enemies such as the Borok and Scaylion
- Monster tracking missions that have been assigned by Sir Hammerlock himself
- A self-important but not-so-well-known new enemy who is “super-pumped we’re archenemies now”, and who leads a tribe of jungle savages and has an evil plan that might actually work.
- A new treasure room that houses numerous goodies, but has a timer on it
