Shotgun Bookies are enemies encountered in Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. Once crew members and visitors of the Handsome Jackpot, these people turned to pillaging and violence following the Casino's lockdown after Handsome Jack's death. They serve as close-quarters infantry and engineers for the various Looter factions.

Strategy
Much like the Children of the Vault's Shotgun Tinks, Bookies are the bog-standard variant of their archetype, armed with light weaponry and a minimal health pool. Much like Tinks, they will cockily charge their opponents in hopes of crippling them with their Shotguns and often toss a grenade to scatter their opponents. Most notably, Bookies are also capable of diving into scrap piles and create a Bookie Turret to provide defensive support for them and their allies. However, unlike their Tink counterparts, they will occasionally, on higher difficulties, bear armor rather than shielding.
Notes
- In Mayhem Mode and True Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed to Shotgun Mug.
