Shockwave is the title of a group of common shotguns in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Maliwan. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.
Usage & Description[]
The Shockwave must be fully charged in order to fire. Once it has been charged, it releases a large pulse of energy upon releasing the trigger that damages enemies in the area, with a high chance of making the enemy ragdoll. This pulse travels a limited distance before disappearing, making the Shockwave effectively useless at any range beyond medium.
Notable Variants[]
- Kill-o'-the-Wisp - Legendary shock shotgun that fires a slow-moving lightning ball that damaging enemies nearby. Consumes 4 ammo per shot.
- Mind-Killer - Legendary non-elemental shotgun that fires an amplifier bars styled energy pulse. Pulse projectiles form a "⊙" pattern when hip-firing, or a "+" pattern when aiming down sights.
- Nothingness - Legendary shotgun that fires a continuous beam with projectiles around it.
- Frequency - Legendary shotgun that fires an orb with pellets around. Killing increases orbs per shot for a short time.
- Blind Bandit - Unique shotgun that applies Echo debuff on hit for 8 seconds. Enemies with Echo debuff will fire a projectile at nearby enemy on death.
- Blind Sage - Legendary shotgun that applies Echo debuff on hit for 8 seconds. Enemies with Echo debuff will fire a projectile at nearby enemy on death.
Notes[]
- The Shockwave features a double-muzzle barrel that looks like a fish's face, which can also be covered by an accessory that looks like goggles.
