Salt the Wound is a tier 4 skill in Krieg's Mania skill tree. When Krieg takes damage while his shield is down, it adds a stack of Salt the Wound to a maximum of 20. Krieg's melee damage and shotgun damage increase for every stack accumulated.
Effects
- +1.5% melee damage per rank per stack.
- +1% shotgun damage per rank per stack.
- These bonuses can be increased further with Class Mods.
Notes
Combined with other skills in the Mania tree that increase shield recharge delay, Salt the Wound gives the player more incentive to jump into the fray and keep their shields down.
This skill interacts particularly well with Fuel the Rampage in firefights since stacks of Salt the Wound can be gained from taking friendly fire.
