Rock Dove's Revenge is a mythical assault rifle in Borderlands 3, manufactured by Jakobs.
It cannot be obtained, as it was faked for the purposes of making a point about padded-out, clickbait-driven videos on YouTube.
It isn't real.

Special Weapon Effects

When that sounds seems to stop, you'll know... – Shots do not consume ammunition while the player is airborne. Critical hits scored while airborne do 350% damage.

Usage & Description

Rock Dove's Revenge has (literally) unbelievably good base stats, but its true power comes from its ability to deal out obscene amounts of damage while the player is falling, jumping, or otherwise in the air. Mastery of the weapon requires additional finesse than may be initially expected, but practicing on Skywell-27 can help develop that.

Notes

  • Any weapon-based build (for any character) would benefit from this gun if it were real... which – as bears repeating – it is not.
  • Shots fired while in midair do not damage objects that deal environmental damage.
  • Red-quality weapons have long been rumored to appear in Borderlands 3the Loot Boxer slot machines seem to depict them, for instance – but at present, no legitimate evidence for their existence has been confirmed.

Trivia

  • The flavor text refers to a horror story written by Peter O'Shamseign. The complete text of the passage reads "When next you are completely alone, imagine you are listening to a sound of some kind. When that sound seems to stop, you'll know that you've been noticed."
  • The weapon's name refers to RamsesThePigeon's intention to exact vengeance on YouTube personalities who would rather waste viewers' time (by padding out their videos' lengths for indexing and monetization purposes) than offer anything approaching usable information or entertaining content.
  • The reload time (1.61/s) represents the first three digits of Phi, an irrational number known as "The Golden Ratio."
  • The fire rate (9.67/s) is a reference to the maximum amount of time after liftoff that Syncom III – the world's first geostationary communications satellite – could execute a complicated course-correction maneuver.
  • The magazine size (42) is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
  • The gun appears to be a Vladof assault rifle, despite being listed as having been manufactured by Jakobs. This is due to the fact that RamsesThePigeon assembled his fake on a whim, then only started thinking about likely manufacturers for such an overpowered weapon after having already captured the in-game footage.
  • The price ($30,222) refers to the video itself: It is two minutes and twenty-two seconds long, but all of the relevant information is contained within the first thirty seconds.
