Repeater is the title of a group of common pistols in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. They are manufactured exclusively by Dahl, and commonly spawn with the Dahl, Maliwan, Tediore, and bandit/scav barrels.

Usage & Description

Dahl pistols are semi-automatic when fired from the hip. They fire 2-round bursts when aiming, much faster rate than hip-fire. This gives Dahl pistols high stability when zoomed in and makes them a good sidearm for close and mid-range combat, but not for fight for your life.

The Repeater can come with a variety of barrels, each one can give the gun different properties:

  • Dahl barrel (stable) – Fires 4-round bursts without reducing stability and with slightly reduced recoil and damage.
  • Tediore barrel (standard) – Does nothing additional.
  • Maliwan barrel (elemental) – Increases elemental effect damage (if the weapon spawns with an element) and accuracy.
  • Bandit/scav barrel ("heavy") – Increases the weapon damage but reduces accuracy.

Notable Variants

Borderlands 2

  • Basic RepeaterUnique (but common-quality) variant of this weapon, given as the mission reward for My First Gun.
  • TeapotUnique corrosive pistol with increased elemental damage and splash effect.
  • HornetLegendary corrosive pistol with a 6-round burst when zoomed.
  • Hector's ParadiseLegendary shock pistol with a 6-round burst when zoomed.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

  • React RepeaterUnique (but common-quality) variant of this weapon as Wilhelm's starting weapon.
  • Gwen's Other HeadUnique pistol with 37.5% multiplicative critical hit bonus and 6-round burst when zoomed. Fires 2 projectiles at once at a cost of 2 ammo.
  • BlowflyLegendary corrosive pistol with a 7-round burst when zoomed. The fired projectiles split into two after a short distance.
