Reluctant Viruses are viruses encountered during the mission The Psychology of a Claptrap in the Claptastic Voyage DLC from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Reluctant Viruses are less aggressive than other Viruses, and do not exhibit the special abilities of either Adaptive Viruses or Parasitic Viruses. They are only encountered during the mission The Psychology of a Claptrap, when the Vault Hunters need to lure them to the deletion field blocking a mission objective.
Damaging the Reluctant Virus by about 25% will cause them to turn into a Ravenous Virus, at which point they will turn red and become much more hostile.
Notes
- In True Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed Reluctant Parasite, and in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed Reluctant Leech.
