Red Queen is a legendary grenade mod in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Vladof. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Captain Traunt located in Athenas.

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! – Thrown grenade splits in two and bounces forward with a laser connecting the two halves.
Usage & Description[]
The Red Queen's effect works similar to the Cutsman's projectiles, with each grenade spreading out while creating a laser connecting the two. This makes it most effective in enclosed spaces with lots of cover, or against large amount of grounded foes.
Notes[]
- The laser which connects the grenades can hit enemy crit spots, which results in massive damage.
- If thrown to the left of an enemy, the right grenade can stick to enemies, causing the other grenade to make a link that can damage enemies in a more controlled way. This also allows for easy kills against enemies with large weakpoints.
Trivia[]
- The special effect is a reference to the laser grid security system of the Red Queen in the 2002 film Resident Evil.
- The flavor text is a quote by the Queen of Hearts in the 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The flavor text is used whenever the queen loses her temper.
- The name refers to the character of the same name in the 1871 novel Through the Looking-Glass.
