Razorback is a unique sniper rifle in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel manufactured by Jakobs. It is obtained from the mission Home Delivery located in Concordia.
Special Effect
Watch out for the tusks! – Always spawns with a blade accessory and iron sights. Extremely low fire rate and slow reload speed. Greatly increased damage.
Usage & Description
The Razorback features very high damage and a blade accessory in exchange for a low fire rate and the inability to spawn with a scope. As a result, the weapon is most effective when used to strike consistent critical hits, utilizing the weapon's high base damage and innate critical damage bonus (a quality of Jakobs weapons) to maximize the damage achieved with its low rate of fire.
Notes
- The Razorback is similar to previous high power bolt-action sniper rifles that have appeared in the Borderlands series, notably Whitting's Elephant Gun from Borderlands, the Buffalo from Borderlands 2, and the Elephant Gun from Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt.
- The Razorback can greatly benefit from Nisha's Showdown action skill, which will lock onto the critical hit point of the target, while increasing fire rate and reload speed, allowing the user to deal a large amount of damage to targets with accessible critical areas.
Trivia
- The name refers to the slang word for a wild boar in American or Australian language, the guaranteed blade accessory and flavor text are a nod to a typical boar's sharp tusks.
- As the Razorback always spawns with a blade, the Razorback will only spawn with the prefix "Tl'kope", meaning the full name of the weapon will always be "Tl'kope Razorback".
