Ratch Broodmothers are a massive type of Ratch found throughout Borderlands 3. They are known to appear on Athenas, Promethea, The Handsome Jackpot, and Eden-6.

Ratch Broodmothers have no armor so an Incendiary weapon is suggested to finish them quickly. However, they are quite sturdy and have multiple ways to attack. They can fling their tail spike at the Vault Hunter or even fling the spike to spawn a Ratch through a Ratch Egg.

- In Mayhem Mode and True Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed Ratch Nester.
