Rabid Stalkers are recognizable by their bright-colored skin and long metal bars sticking out of their bodies. They charge directly toward their target and attack with rapid, devastating melee attacks. When a path to the target cannot be calculated they will throw spikes. This variant is extremely dangerous, with shield, health and damage capacity well above that of a Super Badass Stalker. One-on-one a Rabid Stalker can take down a Super Badass Pyre Thresher. Rabid Stalkers first appear on True Vault Hunter Mode.

As powerful as they are, there is a flaw in their attack pattern which can be used to Vault Hunter's advantage. Rabid Stalkers can only leap forward, not up. All it takes is to get to a higher ground (a crate higher than ammunition box will do just fine) then shoot at them with impunity. Being at melee range, Rabid Stalkers will try to do just that and will not launch spikes.

In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, they are only encountered in Research and Development.
