Pucks fire a single puck that goes almost as far as darts and have a slight homing to them. If an enemy is defeated while the puck is still active, it will eject from the enemy and if there is another one nearby it will become the new target on a refreshed timer. Pucks tend to highlight the area where the shots will go, so aiming for the head ensures a high rate of critical hits.

Grenades have a short range but can land behind obstacles when bouncing around and with the huge blast radius that typically follows. Multiple enemies can be tagged at the same time and all shots will home in on the closest tagged enemy. This is useful in group battles where the gun can tag many targets, and subsequent shots can be aimed wide from behind safe cover.

*Cost-Effective versions never cost 2 ammo to fire, despite having a x2 for damage. So they are superior to regular versions.

Q-System is the title of a group of common assault rifles in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Atlas.

Usage & Description

A weapon that fires one of three types of trackers. Darts, pucks, or grenades. Once an enemy is tagged by one of these three, all shots from the weapon will home in on the single enemy or group of enemies for a set duration of time. Can spawn with 10% or 21% critical hit boosts.

Darts fire straightforward like regular bullets in a small randomly generated group of darts and are best for hitting quick or distant targets.

Grenades have a short-range but can land behind obstacles when bouncing around and with the huge blast radius that typically follows. Multiple enemies can be tagged at the same time and all shots will home in on the closest tagged enemy. This is useful in group battles where the gun can tag many targets, and subsequent shots can be aimed wide from behind safe cover.

Notes

  • Cost-Effective versions do not consume 2 ammo per shot, despite having a x2 for damage.
