Presence is the title of a group of common submachine guns in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. They are manufactured exclusively by Hyperion and feature the Dahl barrel.

Usage & Description

Hyperion SMGs are highly accurate but they have the feature of "reverse recoil": the weapon has initial sway and only becomes accurate with sustained shooting. The listed accuracy on the weapon is what is achievable after the sustained fire increases their accuracy to maximum.

This submachine gun does not have any stats that stand out amongst the other Hyperion SMG weapons. The only aspect improved in it is a reduced recoil thanks to the Dahl barrel that it comes with.

Notable variants

• Bane – Unique submachine gun in Borderlands 2 with unique voice module. Extremely high damage with reduced accuracy. When equipped, movement speed is greatly reduced.

Notes

• The variants of Presence in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel commonly spawn with Hyperion's new-style materials and prefixes which are the same as in Borderlands 2.
• In addition to the Presence, a variant of this weapon exists in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as the Confidence, made by the "old" Hyperion.
• The Presence only spawns at green or higher rarity.
• The Presence is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.
