Powerplay is the title of a group of common submachine guns in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Hyperion.
Usage & Description[]
Unlike most common weapons in Borderlands 3, the Powerplay can spawn with one of two different barrels. One barrel offers better damage, while the other has better critical hit damage and fire rate.
Notable Variants[]
- LOV3M4CH1N3 - Unique incendiary submachine gun that fires 2 bullets per shot, which pattern forms a heart shape.
- Pricker - Unique radiation submachine gun that fires slow, homing needles that stick on enemy. Every 4 needles stick on the same target creates an explosion.
- Handsome Jackhammer - Legendary submachine gun reloads by being thrown away like a Tediore weapon. Plays voice module of Handsome Jack.
- Crossroad - Legendary submachine gun that fires a cluster of pellets in 6-round burst and decreased accuracy bloom.
- Hyperfocus XZ41 - Legendary submachine gun that summons 2 bouncing bullets perpendicular to the target on hit.
- Cheap Tips - Legendary submachine gun that drops casino chip on hit, which can be picked up to gain +10% weapon damage for 12 seconds. This effect stacks.
- Oldridian - Legendary submachine gun that changes element on reloading and has a unique shield that reduces elemental damage by 20%.
- Smog - Legendary submachine gun that amplified when activating a full weapon shield.
