Plus Ultra is a legendary shield in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Pangolin and is exclusive to the Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck DLC. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Dr. Benedict located in Benediction of Pain.

Remember why you started down this path. – 25% chance to absorb bullets as ammo and increase action skill cooldown rate by 30% for a few seconds. Doubles the character's max health.
Usage & Description[]
The Plus Ultra is an incredibly solid shield, requiring no setup to be used effectively. While the shield capacity may be very low, the hidden 100% max health provides a huge burst of survivability, especially using skills and artifacts that regain health like the Otto Idol.
Characters who rely on their action skill may wish to utilize this skill. Action skills with long cooldowns gain more of a benefit than shorter cooldowns. The cooldown reduction only works in areas where enemies use bullets, so it may be best to switch to a different shield in areas where enemies don't use guns.
Notes[]
- The Plus Ultra can potentially spawn with bullet reflection while shield is active and bullet reflection while terrified, further increasing survivability.
- The Limit Break is an Epic variant of the Plus Ultra.

- The flavor text is a reference to a quote by All Might, a superhero who appears in the manga and anime series My Hero Academia. The full quote is: "If you feel yourself hitting up against your limit remember for what cause you clench your fists... remember why you started down this path, and let that memory carry you beyond your limit."
- The name's origin comes from the latin phrase "Non plus ultra", originally used to mean "Nothing further beyond", then later to mean "Go no further". In My Hero Academia, Plus Ultra is translated as "Go beyond".
